Sephora F&F Haul (With a little help...)

SO the Sephora F&F Sale just took place not too long ago, and despite the many Sephora stores now located in Canada, they still left us out of the fun. I was waiting, hoping, waiting, hoping that they would let Canadians in on the deal too, but no dice.
Now...one of the coolest things about the YouTube beauty community is the ability to make some amazing friends and one, sweet youtuber whom you ALLLLLLLL now and subscribe to (because she's just that awesome) asked me if I would like her to put in an order on my behalf, and then she would ship it to me! This awesome youtuber is LisaSz09 and if you don't watch her videos....you better start now because she does amazing reviews and hauls!!
I am on a little YouTube hiatus right now, preparing for some big changes but don't worry...I'll be back soon enough. I simply had to post this asap so that I could tell everyone what an amazing person Lisa is for doing this and to share what I picked up!

1) Stila Smudgepot Set - this set is an adorable gift containing 4 smudgepots (Kitten, a shimmery beige; Violet, an indigo-purple; Starry Night, a shimmery navy and Black) along with a travel-sized liner brush (not great for precise lining, but great for smudging). I LOVE cream based liners/shadows so I had to try out the stila set! And what better way then with 4 tiny pots :)

Swatches!!

2) Fekkai Dry Shampoo - I've never really thought much about dry shampoos, until I purchased a bottle about 6 months ago (just a tiny, trial size bottle). Now I am quite the on-the-go person, and I really don't like to wash my hair everyday so when I ran out of my trial size, I realized how much I needed a huge bottle of the stuff. This one is the best value (mass per dollar) and you really don't need much so it should last a long time. This stuff is wonderful if you're travelling for a night or two, for camping or just when you're running late.

3) Philosophy Hope in a Jar - I've heard so many good things about this moisturizer, I purchased a tiny trial size one about a month ago. After using it on only one half of my face for about a month (best way to figure out if something is making you break out/allergic) I realized that its safe for my super-sensitive skin. Some people hate the smell- but I kind of like it! It smells very therapeutic, like I'm giving myself a facial.

Of course, Lisa couldn't just send me what I ordered....she packed my box full of samples and mini sized products as well as a white french-tip manicure pen (forgot to take a picture...sorry!) so I can keep up my manicure :) What an awesome person...

So that's my F&F Haul (with a little help from LisaSz09)...hopefully next time they will make it available to Canadians!

Look what happens when I buy things for other people...

I stopped at MAC today to pick up a few things for my contest winner as well as my dear mother (she just bought her first palette- I'm so proud)...of course I had to pick up just a COUPLE things for myself.
Its weird. I LOVE watching hauls but I don't particularly like making them.... so I really want your input....I can either
A) Make blog posts everytime I get some new goodies with pictures, quick reviews, etc.
B) Save up my hauled items at post a collective haul every few months (like I will be doing with my 'favorites' from now on...more like a 'seasonal' thing)
C) Both A and B (wow...I've been taking too many exams lately)

I just want to know what you guys think. I know everyone loves hauls, but I just don't like making them..I kinda feel like I'm bragging or something- its weird, I know. But my channel is for YOU guys so you can all direct my videos!

On to the goodies....just a couple things.

MAC Eyeshadow in Gesso - I've gone THIS long without a plain, matte white eyeshadow? Wow. Great for highlighting the browbone or inner corner of the eye when you've got enough shimmer going on elsewhere.

MAC Eyeshadow in Cranberry - This color is one that I've been wanting for a long, long time. Its a beautiful reddish purple (hence, cranberry) and it really reminds me of winter and the holidays...so I needed it. Think of how gorgeous this would look paired up with a gold eyeshadow and black liquid liner (I've got my Christmas look planned already!)

MAC Dazzleglass Creme in Soft Dazzle - I saw these dazzleglass cremes a few times, swatched them out but didn't really think I needed them. BUT I love dazzleglasses, and I love cremesheen glasses, so I thought I'd give it a try. I went for this color because its a pretty safe neural-pink (just like 99% of every other gloss I own...sheesh!) and I really like it. It looks like a dazzleglass, but SLIGHTLY more wearable and a lot more comfortable on the lips.

When I Chopped Off All My Hair...

I know I've seriously been slacking in the video/blogging area, but of course I have the same excuse that everyone does when they are absent for a while..."ive been really busy with work, life is crazy...blah blah blah" you all know it!

So I've had a few people ask me what it was like to chop off all my hair and donate it (a little over a year ago) so I thought I'd post a few pictures of my adventure....

It was scary, exciting and everything I thought it would be. I was so happy to give someone else my hair and just keeping a good mindset the whole time got me through "its just hair. I can grow it back...some people can't." It took FOREVER to grow out, its finally back to the length where I can put it in a pony tail (first time yesterday in 14 months!!!).

The biggest shock/change I went though.... not brushing my hair for like 9 months!

Blow-drying my long hair for the last time in a LOOOONG time

Getting ready...

Making the first cut (soooo nervous here)!

Holding my chopped off locks :)

Rockin' the boyish-short hair cut that I actually really liked :)

Hope you enjoy :) I'll try to get some more videos/makeup related stuff up soon.
Love you all
